Take control of your housing future! This seminar will focus on rental laws, rights and responsibilities, and the path to affordable homeownership.

Central Jersey Housing Resource Center (CJHRC) is a non-profit, HUD-certified information center and housing counseling agency serving the community with free programs and services for rental, pre-purchase, financial literacy, post-purchase, and foreclosure counseling. (CJHRC) partners with very low-, low-, and moderate-income households in Central New Jersey to build the knowledge, skills, and access necessary to achieve sustainable housing stability and long-term financial security.
Topics will include:
Rental information about application fee caps, NJ tenant protection, tenant rights, landlord responsibilities, and how to qualify for and apply to rent affordable regulated units.
Future homeowner information about accessing down payment and closing cost grants, qualifying and purchasing regulated resale and new sale units, and search assistance.
