A welcoming Quilting Circle at the Hillsborough Library offering a relaxed and creative space for quilters of all skill levels to work on projects, share, and enjoy conversation with fellow makers.

Thursday, Sep 17 | 10:15 am - 12:15 pm

Hillsborough branch

A Quilting Circle at the Hillsborough Library meets twice a month and provides a welcoming, hands-on space for quilters of all experience levels, including beginners, to gather, create, and share ideas. Participants work on their own quilting projects in a friendly, informal setting that encourages creativity, skill-building, and community connection.

Sewing machines will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, with six machines provided by the library. If all machines are in use, participants will need to bring their own sewing machine. Attendees will be expected to set up and take down the sewing machines.  An ironing board, iron, and cutting mat will be available for shared use. Participants should bring their own scissors, needles, pins, rotary cutter, and any other quilting tools or notions they prefer, along with their own quilting project and pattern.

Very limited instruction is available, making this program best suited for those who are comfortable working independently or alongside others in a supportive, collaborative environment.

A waiver will be provided to, and need to be signed by, any attendee (or guardian of an attendee) that wants to participate with this program.
