A community-led group focused on reading and discussing poetry, structured like a traditional book club.

Wednesday, Apr 15 | 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Bridgewater branch

A guided, book-club-style poetry discussion led by poet and educator Leslieann Hobayan. Read a short poetry volume and join a welcoming conversation—no prior poetry experience required.

The group will be guided by Leslieann Hobayan, a Filipina-American poet, essayist, and activist, as well as the host of Spiritual Grit, a podcast that explores spirituality and activism. She is the author of multiple publications and a recipient of the 2025 New Jersey State Council on the Arts Poetry Fellowship. She also teaches at Rutgers University.
