The Art Space at Somerset County Library System of New Jersey’s (SCLSNJ) Warren branch has installed a new arts display to share with residents throughout the months of December 2022 and January 2023.
Fiber artist Lucy Walsh, of Clinton, has been creating hand-crafted hooked rugs in the traditional style since 1990.
“My rugs are all original designs and are born from a spark somewhere in my head or heart," said Walsh. "The goal is to capture a subject hooked in wool that has a special meaning to me, and which is aesthetically pleasing to others.”
Continued Walsh, "I hope that you will find a rug that speaks to you and lights a spark in your heart, too."
