Unlock 250 Years of History at the Somerset County 4-H Fair
July 29, 2026 - The Somerset County Library System of New Jersey (SCLSNJ) will once again participate in the Somerset County 4-H Fair, taking place from Wednesday, August 5, to Friday, August 7, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. daily at North Branch Park in Bridgewater.
Visitors of all ages are invited to join SCLSNJ under this year’s theme, Unlocking 250 Years of History, as the library system showcases innovative ways to learn about Somerset County’s deep historical roots. Located across from the Somerset County Tent, the SCLSNJ booth will serve as a gateway to exploring the pivotal role Somerset County played in shaping American history while demonstrating how a library card connects residents to both local history and modern resources.
"Somerset County is steeped in Revolutionary War history, and we are thrilled to bring that local history to life at this year’s 4-H Fair," said Peter Bromberg, SCLSNJ Library Director. "As our nation commemorates its semiquincentennial, SCLSNJ is finding a variety of ways to showcase our county's unique past—helping residents uncover local historic treasures while staying connected to our local community and lifelong learning."
