Traditional and Whimsical Art on Display at SCLSNJ’s Warren Twp. Library Branch

About Blog Post Dec 12, 2019 by Pressroom
Throughout the months of December and January, discover the watercolor and pastel art of Whitehouse Station resident Joanne Smith Bodnar, in the Art Space at the Somerset County Library System of New Jersey’s (SCLSNJ) Warren Twp. Library branch. The 25-piece collection features a variety of traditional and whimsical paintings with subjects ranging from still life water cans to colorful landscapes. “Design and color are strong components of my work and I particularly enjoy the challenge of creating imaginative pieces,” said Smith Bodnar. “Music, a play on words, and unusual objects as subject matter all influence the compositions of my work.” Smith Bodnar has been an artist and educator for over 40 years. She is currently the President of the Hunterdon Watercolor Society. Her work has been featured in a variety of art shows including the Tewksbury Art Show and the Hunterdon Watercolor Society. This current Library display will be available to the public during regular hours of operation through January 31. Anyone needing more information or artists interested in exhibiting in the Art Space at Warren Twp. Library should contact staff member, Kathy DeCristofaro at kdecristofaro@sclibnj.org.
