As of September 18, the Somerset County Library System of New Jersey (SCLSNJ) will be designated as an official passport acceptance facility by the U.S. Department of State. Passport services will be available at the Bridgewater branch, located at 1 Vogt Drive in Bridgewater.
"I am happy to share that SCLSNJ has officially joined the federal Passport Acceptance Program,” said Christopher Korenowsky, SCLSNJ director of public services. “Several exciting things are happening as we prepare to launch this service for our customers. Our hope is that this new service will make it easier for our customers to plan their trips abroad. I am delighted to add this new initiative to the already stellar list of programs and services at SCLSNJ."
The passport services desk will be open at the Bridgewater Library branch for walk-in services:
- Tuesdays from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.;
- Thursdays from 4-8 p.m.;
- Fridays from noon - 4 p.m.;
- and Saturdays from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
