“The Blonde Identity” by Ally Carter
Review by Yvonne Selander, collection development librarian
She wakes up seemingly making snow angels in a snowstorm in the middle of a street. Hey, is that the Eiffel Tower? Oh wow, she’s in Paris! But why is she in the street? Are those motorcycles in the distance? Why does her head hurt? And who is the hot guy screaming “Alex, Run!”? And who is Alex?
So begins this hilarious romp through Europe as Alex’s identical twin sister and Alex’s former-partner, and hot guy spy, Sawyer try to stay ahead of the bad guys, and the good guys, find a flash drive, and stay alive. Fans of quirky romances and adventure (think “Romancing the Stone”) will find a lot to love here and the ending makes me think we’re in for more from this duo soon.
