The Somerset County Library System of New Jersey (SCLSNJ) continues to enhance services that enable Library customers to connect with staff during the COVID-19 crisis while maintaining proper social distancing standards. The latest additions include the ability to schedule Spanish language appointments when using the popular Ask an SCLSNJ Expert service and the introduction of Text a Librarian.
“Having Ask an SCLSNJ Expert available in Spanish is a wonderful way for us to connect one-on-one with members of our community who may need assistance through their native language to learn about the myriad materials and services that SCLSNJ provides,” said Library Assistant Rachel Bohach, one of the bilingual staff members participating in the service. “With this, we hope to create, maintain, and strengthen the relationships that we are normally able to cultivate within the walls of our buildings, but now must do in a virtual setting.”
Ask an SCLSNJ Expert in Spanish (Reserve un Experto de SCLSNJ en Espanol) is available:
- Tuesdays: 9-11:30 a.m. and 3-3:30 p.m.
- Thursdays: 1-4:30 p.m.
- Monday-Thursday: 9 a.m. - 9 p.m.
