This week, kicks off a slew of Read Across America events in libraries, schools and communities across the country. The initiative began in 1998 to promote reading, and March 2 was designated as Read Across America Day. According to the official website, Celebrate Diversity is the focus in March, with three specific titles highlighted for children, middle grade and teens. The selection follows:
