The Printmaking Center of New Jersey will Present Programs in English & Spanish at Local Libraries

Four SCLSNJ locations will host bilingual programs

(Somerset County, NJ: January 4, 2017) The Printmaking Center of New Jersey will present Monoprinting Workshops at four Somerset County Library System of New Jersey library branches this January and February. The workshops will be presented in both English and Spanish. During the programs, participants will learn how to create images on a printing plate that will be transferred onto paper through monoprinting and the use of a portable printing press. Participants will also explore the use of positive and negative space for creating successful compositions. The programs will include a brief overview of the history of printmaking. All materials will be provided by The Printmaking Center of New Jersey. SCLSNJ’s North Plainfield Memorial Library branch, located at 6 Rockview Avenue in North Plainfield January 14, 2- 4 p.m., all ages SCLSNJ’s Bound Brook Memorial Library branch, located at 402 E. High St. in Bound Brook January 26, 1-3 p.m. & 3:30-5:30 p.m., all ages SCLSNJ’s Somerville Library branch, located at 35 W. End Ave. in Somerville January 28, 1-3 p.m., grades 3-6 SCLSNJ’s Manville Library branch, located at 100 S. 10th Ave. in Manville February 3, 1- 3 p.m. for adults & 3:30-5:30 p.m. for tweens & teens Registration is required to participate.
