Rumfitt's debut novel, "Tell Me I'm Worthless," was published in 2023. This supernatural haunted house story has been lauded as work of transgressive queer horror. Author Paul Tremblay said of the book: "A gripping, hallucinogenic haunted house novel as righteously angry as it is horrifying, 'Tell Me I'm Worthless' unflinchingly lays bare the personal and cultural scars we wear, endure, and inflict." "Brainwyrms" was the author's follow-up novel. Rumfitt moves here from the haunted house novel to body horror.
