Belle Mead Artist Exhibits at SCLSNJ's Montgomery branch

The Somerset County Library System of New Jersey's (SCLSNJ) Montgomery branch is currently exhibiting the art of Richa Rashmi, a local artist from Belle Mead who specializes in an art form called Madhubani. Madhubani is an art form largely practiced in India and Nepal and is characterized by its geometric patterns. "Daily art practice is a very essential part of an artist, it is pure, evocative, as well as sensitive," said Rashmi. Rashmi is a self-taught Indian-born American contemporary visual and folk artist who has been painting since her childhood under her father’s guidance. This exhibit will be on display through October 31, 2023. The Montgomery branch is located at 100 Community Drive in Skillman.
