Discover Business Maker Day with the Somerset County Library System of New Jersey (SCLSNJ) on March 9 from 8:30-11 a.m., at SCLSNJ’s 3rd Annual Business Maker Day event at SCLSNJ’s Bridgewater Library branch, located at 1 Vogt Drive in Bridgewater.
This professional mini-conference will feature a presentation by author Mike Michalowicz, who penned several books including best-seller, “Profit First.” Michalowicz is an entrepreneur, former small business columnist for The Wall Street Journal, and a former MSNBC business makeover expert.
“I have had the wonderful honor to travel the globe meeting with entrepreneurs and teaching them strategies to grow their business,” said Mike Michalowicz. “But nothing warms my heart like coming home to New Jersey to help guide my fellow entrepreneurs to the highest levels of profit and achievement. I am grateful for SCLSNJ to be hosting me.”
In addition to Michalowicz’s appearance, there will also be a brief presentation by industry giant Gale/Cengage to introduce their groundbreaking small business builder resource, Gale Small Business Builder (GSBB).
“This will be the third year in the row that SCLSNJ will be hosting a Business Maker Day for business professionals in Somerset County,” said Cathy DeBerry, SCLSNJ adult services librarian. “Every year, we strive to improve the services to the small business community in Somerset County. This event is part of that effort and a small business owner looking to grow their business should make every effort to attend.”
“We are honored to have Mike Michalowicz - one of the most charismatic speakers I have ever experienced - donate his time and expertise to speak at this community event,” said Carolann DeMatos, SCLSNJ director of marketing and public relations. “Somerset County is a robust community of innovators and change-agents. By fostering this entrepreneurial spirit through business-centric events, the Library System is assuring that our 10 branches remain the essential cornerstones that Libraries were created to be while also delivering valuable, effective programs to our patrons.”
This event is sponsored in partnership with the Somerset County Business Partnership (SCBP), NJ Advance Media, and Sharonview Federal Credit Union.
Coffee, tea, and light refreshments will be served. This event is free to attend, registration is required: sclsnj.libnet.info/somerset/event/132494
