“If Something Happens to Me” by Alex Finlay Review by Yvonne Selander, collection development librarian It’s been five years since Ryan and Ali were attacked on Lover’s Lane. He was hit over the head and pulled out of the car by an eight fingered man, left unconscious on the ground. Ali and her father’s car disappeared. No one believed Ryan was also a victim. His name besmirched, he changes his name and attempts to move on with his life. But he never forgets Ali.  When the car is found submerged in a nearby lake, yet her body isn’t inside the vehicle, the bodies of two men are with Ali’s purse. Inside is a note in code and on the envelope: If Something Happens To Me … This is my first Alex Finlay novel, and it will not be my last. The multiple perspectives really ramp up the suspense. There are few who are completely innocent here and that’s what makes the whole thing zing. This is a REALLY good choice on audio.
