“Horror Movie” by Paul Tremblay

Horror Movie” by Paul Tremblay Review by Yvonne Selander, collection development librarian We’ve all read and seen versions of the cursed film. Put all those books and films out of your head. Because this one is going to top them all. In 1993, an art-house horror film was sort of made. It was never finished, never released, but still has a huge fanbase. Those fans have seen the leaked footage (just three scenes) on the internet, poured over the behind the scenes legends and followed the tragedies that have befallen many of the cast and crew. Now, 30 years later, a reboot is in the works and, “The Thin Kid,” one of the few cast members still alive, is set to lend his knowledge and acting to the new film. But at what cost to him and to the new set of cast and crew?  In a word: creepy. Oh so terribly creepy. But just like a great horror movie you can’t look away. True horror fans will love this, those that are a little squeamish and find themselves hiding during the scary scenes in movies will probably want to just look away.
