For Kids and Their Grown-Ups: “Time to Go, Larry!” by Alison Hawkins Review by Laura Frantz, collection development librarian Larry is feeling all snuggly in his bed and no way this little bear wants to get up. Will he possibly get out of bed for the best breakfast ever imagined? Will he then go outside and play? Will reminding him how much fun a sunny day playing and swimming with friends do the trick? Will he have to be nudged to come in and take a bath when the sun starts to set? What happens when bedtime rolls around? Will he be ready to go to sleep? Author-illustrator Alison Hawkins comically conveys the coaxing and cajoling that often takes place between children and grown-ups, and this story will feel very familiar to many. Next time you need to do some gentle nudging, read this picture book to your little one.
