As any grown-up with a child in their life is aware, graphic novels and comics have soared in popularity. We’ve seen fiction for all ages, nonfiction, biographies, instructional titles, board books, and early readers in this format, so it really comes as no surprise that cartoonist Grant Snider has created this lovely and imaginative work of poetry that celebrates the seasons and so much more. “Poetry Comics” is perfect for sharing with an individual child as well as a group. Teachers can use it as a springboard for an inspired classroom lesson where art meets creative writing. A joyful combination of colorful cartoon art and delightful poems gives a clever spin to this title, perfect for celebrating the joy of poetry all year long.
