For Kids and Their Grown-Ups: “Pig in Jeans” by Brenda Li Review by Laura Frantz, collection development librarian Brian the pig loves his jeans. He wears them everywhere. When his friends ask why he always wears them, he reveals some of the reasons why other outfits don’t work. Too short, too tight, too itchy and so on. But the real reason Brian loves his jeans is for the pockets. You can hide so many things in your pockets. And when Brian goes for a stroll, we discover just how many things he has tucked away in those jeans. This is such a super fun picture book by Brenda Li. It brims with color, lively scenes and funny dialogue. Kids and their grown-ups will definitely relate to this book. And it should spark a lot of conversation about what kids and their grown-ups like to wear and what they like to have on hand just in case. Make sure to read this one aloud.
