From backyards to tiny house living, the Somerset County Library System of New Jersey (SCLSNJ) is all about your home this summer. Discover a series of programs that can help enhance your home. “Preserving natural resources and promoting ecological awareness has become paramount in Somerset County,” said Nan Peterson, SCLSNJ’s Manville Library branch manager. The Library System will be exploring ecological awareness by offering customers programs that delve into tiny house living, backyard wildlife, smart home technology, and more. Your Home, Your Haven: Backyard Friends and Foes (adults) June 19, 7-8 p.m. SCLSNJ’s Hillsborough Library branch, located at 379 South Branch Road in Hillsborough Master Gardener Lorna Fletcher will discuss how to attract certain wildlife to your backyard and how to protect your yard from destructive wildlife.
