Bridgewater Branch Dedicates Garden to Former Director June Adams

On May 3, the Somerset County Library System of New Jersey's (SCLSNJ) Bridgewater branch dedicated the central courtyard garden to former, long-time Library director June Adams. "This is so amazing," said Adams. "Whoever came up with this idea, he or she or they, certainly has my number. There am I, in the living heart of the library. It is now June all year round!" Adams was director of SCLSNJ from 1975-1990. Adams was president of the Friends of the Bridgewater Library from 2000-2022. "June's legacy can be felt across Somerset County in the many municipalities that she successfully incorporated into SCLSNJ, working closely with local leaders and growing branch locations across all of Somerset County," said Meredith Hoyer, current Bridgewater branch manager.
