SCLSNJ to Host 6th Annual Spelling Bee Spectacular, March 5

The Somerset County Library System of New Jersey (SCLSNJ) will be hosting Somerset County’s 6th Annual Spelling Bee Spectacular on March 5 from 1-5 p.m. The event will be hosted in the multipurpose room at the Hillsborough Township Municipal Building, located at 379 South Branch Road in Hillsborough. “We are delighted to host the Scripps Spelling Bee in Somerset County,” said Brian Auger, county library administrator. “It's an exciting and fun way to celebrate our community's commitment to education and literacy, and to showcase the talents of our students.” Nineteen local schools will be participating in the Bee, with one student champion representing each school. Participating schools include:

  • Auten Road Intermediate School, Hillsborough.
  • Bayberry School, Watchung.
  • Bradley Gardens Elementary School, Bridgewater.
  • Branchburg Central Middle School, Branchburg.
  • Cedar Hill Preparatory School, Somerset.
  • Central Jersey College Prep Middle School, Somerset.
  • Crim Elementary School, Bridgewater.
  • Eisenhower Intermediate School, Bridgewater.
  • Hamilton Elementary School, Bridgewater.
  • Montgomery Lower Middle School, Skillman.
  • Montgomery Upper Middle School, Skillman.
  • Rutgers Preparatory School, Somerset.
  • School Of Saint Elizabeth, Bernardsville.
  • Somerset Intermediate School, North Plainfield.
  • The Pingry School, Basking Ridge.
  • Thomas Edison Energysmart Charter School, Somerset.
  • Valley View School, Watchung.
  • Van Holten Elementary School, Bridgewater.
  • Warren Middle School, Warren Township.
