Somerset Libraries Love 4-H - We’ll See You at the Fair August 9-11, 2023

Somerset County hosts one of the largest free 4-H Fairs in the state and this summer the fair will be hosted Wednesday, August 9 through Friday, August 11, 2023 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. The Somerset County Library System of New Jersey (SCLSNJ) is excited to once again participate in this annual summertime event and has planned an array of educational and enjoyable activities.
“We are excited to feature some of the unique services that we offer at the Library: Home borrowing and notary services,” said Cassandra Collucci. “Home borrowing is a hidden gem since it is a service that may not be on your radar until you need it. This is for individuals facing a health, mobility, transportation, vision, disability, or other incapacity to get books, DVDs, music CDs, magazines, and more delivered to your home through the U.S. Postal Service. Notary services are available at most locations and we are pleased to feature it at the 4-H Fair to answer any basic questions you may have.”
In addition to conversations about home borrowing or notary services, the Library System will also be available to help individuals sign up for a Library Card, will be hosting storytime events in partnership with the Somerset County Commissioners, will be offering coloring and activity stations for children and those young at heart, and more.

WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 9
10-11 a.m. - Storytime hosted by Allie Ziff in the County tent.
3-4 p.m. - SCLSNJ Book Bike launch and inaugural book bike free book giveaway.
4-6 p.m. - Library Card Sign-Up and Notary Support Session.
THURSDAY, AUGUST 10
2-3 p.m. - Storytime hosted by Katie Salerno in the County tent.
4-6 p.m. - Library Card Sign-Up and Home Borrowing Information Session.
6-7 p.m. - Book Bike free book giveaway.
FRIDAY, AUGUST 11
10:30-11:30 a.m. - Book Bike free book giveaway.
