The Somerset County Library System of New Jersey (SCLSNJ) is pleased to announce a 2024 Bee Spectacular Spelling Bee Champion. Sixth grader Aditya Jagan Mohan, from Franklin Middle School, won the virtual event scoring a perfect score of 50 / 50.
Jagan Mohan said that the most difficult word he came across through the course of the test was "Hierurgical." Hierurgical is an adjective defined as an act or rite of worship.

"There were some unclear words but I got through them; I knew a lot of them," said Jagan Mohan. "I made spreadsheets of words to help study from. It has been my dream to compete in a spelling bee since third grade. I have never been to the National Bee and I am very excited to attend this year."
His school will be supporting him by having the Scripps National Spelling Bee playing throughout the school on the day of the event. Meanwhile, his mother promises to be the "loudest voice in the audience."
