Explore SCLSNJ's Museum Pass Program

SCLSNJ’s Museum Pass program allows you to check out passes for free admission and special discounts at select museums in the metropolitan area. You can view more information below and see where we have passes available.

To make a reservation, choose a museum, and then click on the branch where you’d like to pick it up.

  • Choose the date you want to pick up the pass when you make your reservation.
  • You have three days to use the pass.
  • You can pick up the pass any time on the pickup date for your reservation and return any time on the due date.
    • For example, if the pickup date is Tuesday, you may check out the pass any time on Tuesday or Wednesday and return the pass by 9:00 p.m. on Thursday. If the pickup date is Friday the pass may be returned on Monday before 9:00 p.m.

SCLSNJ’s pass admits two (2) adults and up to five (5) children. In addition, passholders receive 10% discount in the Academy Shop and Academy Café, and free entry to Academy Festivals, including Paleopalooza and Bug Fest. Passholders wishing to see the Butterflies! Exhibit will pay a $3 fee per person. Passholders are also responsible for paying full price to see any ticketed special exhibits.

SCLSNJ’s pass admits two (2) adults and up to three (3) children under 18. In addition, passholders receive 15% off in the gift shop and 15% off the Overnight Program. Patrons may also receive free or reduced admission to most special events.

SCLSNJ’s pass admits to two (2) adults and children under 17. In addition, passholders receive 10% discount at the store and café.

SCLSNJ’s pass admits two (2) adults and children under 18, 10% discount at the Café and SHOP Cooper Hewitt, discounted program tickets, and discounted parking.

There will be two (2) passes in each case. Each SCLSNJ pass admits one (1) person. Children under 10 are not admitted to the Collection. In addition, passholders receive 10% discount at the Museum Shop as well as discounts on concerts and education programs.

SCLSNJ’s pass admits four (4) guests. In addition, passholders receive a 10% discount on selected items at the gift shop. The pass does not include discounts to GFS restaurants. The replacement cost for a lost pass is $50. Library pass holders do not require a Timed Ticket.

SCLSNJ’s pass admits four (4) adults (additional guests may purchase tickets at half price). In addition, passholders receive 10% discount at Guggenheim store and café.

  • If you liked “The Great Googlestein Museum Mystery” by Jean Van Leeuwen or “What is Contemporary Art?: A Guide for Kids” by Jacky Klein and Suzy Klein, visit the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York.

SCLSNJ’s pass admits six (6) people to the Intrepid Museum, the Growler submarine and the Space Shuttle Pavilion. Passholders may also use the express Members-only line to receive their tickets in the museum Box Office.

SCLSNJ’s pass admits three (3) adults and four (4) children, and 10% discount at the Nature Store and the Bison Prairie Grill.

This pass does not provide admittance to the Turtle Back Zoo in West Orange, NJ or the Philadelphia Zoo.

SCLSNJ’s pass admits two (2) adults and up to four (4) children; free admission to Family Programs, including tours and workshops for kids aged 6-12; 10% discount on Courses for Kids, including I Spy New York: Capturing the City through the Camera; discounts on ticketed public programs, including panel discussions, concerts, book talks, and film screenings; 20% discount in the Museum Shop; and 20% discount in Chalsty’s Cafe.

SCLSNJ’s pass admits priority entrance for five (5) people. No tickets required – present card to be scanned at the gallery entrance in the Museum lobby. In addition, passholders receive free tickets to MoMA film programs on the day of visit. Pick up same-day film tickets at the lobby information desk (beginning at 9:30 a.m. daily) or at the film desk (one hour prior to screenings). Passholders also receive 10% discount at MoMA stores and cafés.

SCLSNJ’s pass admits two (2) adults and three (3) children.  In addition, passholders receive a 10% discount at the Museum shop.

Provides free entrance to New Jersey State Parks and forests that charge daily walk-in or parking fees.  Included in the backpack are: Parking pass, binoculars and Pocket Naturalist guides: Birds of New Jersey, New Jersey Birds, New Jersey Trees and Wildflowers, New Jersey Wildlife.

This pass is made possible thanks to the generosity of the Friends of the Peapack – Gladstone Library, Inc.

The replacement cost for a lost backpack and contents is $127.  The pass for this attraction is found at the Peapack & Gladstone Library.

SCLSNJ’s pass admits two (2) adults and children under the age of 18, and 10% off purchases at the Museum Store, Parliament Coffee and Espresso Bar, and Caffè Storico.

  • If you liked “Clara and Mr. Tiffany: A Novel” by Susan Vreeland or “Kay Thompson’s Eloise: A Book for Precocious Grown Ups” by Kay Thompson, visit the New-York Historical Society in New York.

SCLSNJ’s pass admits two (2) adults and four (4) children under the age of 18 with free general admission to both the Historic Landmark Building and the Samuel M.V. Hamilton Building during regular museum hours. Not valid for entry to special events.

SCLSNJ welcomes patron feedback and suggestions about which new cultural institutions to add to our growing museum pass program. However, some museums and attractions do not yet participate in any library membership program.
