Paint a Rock for Bookey the Library Caterpillar!

Help us grow Bookey, our very own library caterpillar! Bookey will be placed outside on the lawn of the Library and Borough Hall.

Monday, Aug 4 | 10:30 am - 2:00 pm

Somerville branch

Drop in on Monday, August 4, between 10:30 AM and 2:00 PM to paint a rock that will become part of this fun community art project.

Bring your own rock—we’ll supply the acrylic paint (it is not washable, so dress for mess!). Leave your rock to dry or carry it outside carefully.

After this event, you’re welcome to add to Bookey anytime, but you’ll need to bring your own rock and supplies. Be a part of something that makes Somerville even more colorful and unique!

Note: For future rock-painting, we recommend acrylic paint and varnish or sealant.
