There are many reasons to grow plants in our home. They beautify your home, reduce stress and can reduce indoor pollutants. Indoor plants, like outdoor plants, require the appropriate amount of light, temperature range, humidity, water and nutrition. Some plants need lots of light, others not so much.

In this program, you will learn about a light test, watering frequency, humidity and other factors to improve your houseplant success.

Pat has been an avid gardener since moving from the city to New Jersey 50 years ago. After a few different gardens and several terms as president of the Chester Garden Club, she became a graduate of the very first Master Gardener class in Morris County in 2004. Although she misses her big gardens, she enjoys all the opportunities to “dig in the dirt” that the Somerset Master Garden programs provide.
