Take a Musical Tour Through the Sounds of Summer at Your Library

Nothing says summer quite like music  – the combination of warm weather and rhythm creates a feeling unlike any other. Explore everything from Bruce Springsteen to West African drums this summer at the Somerset County Library System of New Jersey (SCLSNJ) through an entertaining series of music programs that include live performances, lectures, and workshops.

“The lazy days of summer are here, but SCLSNJ has been very busy planning a comprehensive music series,” said Marcela Dunham, SCLSNJ’s system programming coordinator. “If you like to learn more about the Beatles, Bruce Springsteen, or perhaps classical music, we’ve got you covered.”

Take a tour through the sounds of summer and explore the complete series:

West African Dance Workshop: Featuring Live Drums (grades 6 – adult)
June 25, 7-8 p.m.
SCLSNJ’s Hillsborough Library branch, located at 379 South Branch Road in Hillsborough

The History of Rock and Roll: How The Beatles Did It, 1964-1965 (all ages)
