Restrictions are lifting, and many people are cautiously planning an adventure. If you aren’t ready to hop on an airplane or cruise ship, maybe a road trip is the ideal option. The travel companies have been busy during the pandemic, and SCLSNJ has some wonderful new books to help you plan your adventure. If you want a day trip, a weekend, or even a cross-country tour, here are just three of our books to get you from dreaming to driving:
Each National Geographic tour idea is just two pages long with dozens of highlights. The theme-based tours, like the Underground Road trip featuring caves or the Lakes-to-Sea Highway exploring New Jersey and Pennsylvania, give the reader a different perspective for planning a trip.
This guide has maps and detailed information about every area, including mileage and travel time between stops. The book provides a handful of tours in each region of the nation.
Even the smallest states have at least a three-day itinerary, so you can explore your own state in-depth. This has many small highlights of information, for example Paterson’s Great Falls here in New Jersey and Crossing the Delaware reenactment in Pennsylvania.
