“Piranesi” by Susanna Clarke
Review by Yvonne Selander, collection development librarian
Want to read a weird book? A book that when you try to describe it to someone you realize that you aren’t doing it justice because in order to say what you really want to say you’ll be giving too much away? Yeah. This.
Piranesi lives in a labyrinth where The Other visits him weekly. There are only 15 people in his world: himself, The Other. and the 13 dead he visits. But now he learns there is a 16. And 16 means him harm.
That’s all I can tell you about the plot. It’s an addictive read, and you’ll enjoy it. That’s all I can tell you about the rest. Read this!
