Celebrate National Herbs & Spices Day on June 10. The smell of freshly picked oregano, the addition of mint sprigs to ice tea, or the quick toss of cilantro into burritos all add so much to our enjoyment of food. Herbs can be grown in containers and small spaces, or added to a landscape design. Herbal medicines are another realm to explore. We even have books dedicated to just one spice or herb. If you want to learn to grow your own herbs or you want to explore more uses for the spices in your kitchen cabinet, you can find books at SCLSNJ to help you. Below are a few titles to get you started.
Some cultures are known for their use of spices, and SCLSNJ has dozens of Indian, Mexican, Thailand, Korean, and other regional cookbooks. You can let us search for those special cookbooks and make a bag of books just for you. Click here for more information about Personalized Picks.
