National Cheerleading Safety Month March
Created by Seana Zimmer, adult services library assistant at the Hillsborough branch
March is the national holiday for dozens and dozens of causes. Here’s one you may not have considered: cheerleading safety. Since 2013, USACheer and CheerSafe.org have co-sponsored National Cheerleading Safety Month, promoting and improving cheerleading safety for athletes around the world. SCLSNJ has scores of books for youth about cheerleading. In the list below, you will find books and movies for teens and adults about this sport. Some are realistic, nonfiction sources and some are just themes or characters within a story. Have F-U-N!
