Somerset County is managing the ERAP program, while SCLSNJ, as a partner, provides support in reaching and onboarding applicants to the program. The Library is not able to accept applications, approve / deny applications, or give status updates on submitted applications. The Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP) provides significant economic relief to help low and moderate-income households at risk of experiencing homelessness or housing instability by providing support for rental or utility arrears, and temporary rental assistance.

  • Somerset County received an allocation of $7,766,773.20
  • Rental assistance for residents facing rental debt, potential eviction, or loss of housing security
  • Program provides up to 12 months in arrears and 6 months for current and future rents for residents that meet all eligibility criteria
