Somerset County Library System teen volunteer opportunities vary by branch. Please click on the name of the branch for which you are interested in volunteering for applications and reference forms.

Bound Brook Memorial Library Teen Volunteer Program

If you are interested in volunteering to be a program assistant or shelving assistant this summer, please bring your completed volunteer application and have two completed references and register for the orientation.

Bridgewater Library Teen Volunteer Program

Fall Session 2019-2020 School Year: Monday, September 9– Saturday, January 25

Bridgewater Library is no longer accepting teen volunteer applications for the Fall Session of the 2019-2020 School Year Program. However, we will be looking for volunteers in the Spring to assist with programs, behind the scenes tasks, and more.

Spring Session 2019-2020 School Year: Monday, January 27 – Saturday, June 6

Applications will be available on Monday, December 2 and will be due Friday, January 10 by 5 p.m.

Volunteer opportunities for the Spring are for teens entering grades 8-12 in the 2019-2020 school year. Two references are required for all new applicants.

Summer 2020 Volunteer Program

Applications will be available on Wednesday, April 1 and due by 9 p.m. on Thursday, April 30. If you have any questions, please contact Bridgewater Library’s Youth Services Department at (908) 458-8419.

STAR (Supported Teen Alternate Route Program)

Bridgewater Library offers the STAR program to volunteers with special needs who cannot be accommodated in our regular program. For more information, please email Beth Bouwman at ebouwman@sclibnj.org or call (908) 458-8415 x1195.

Hillsborough Library Teen Volunteer Program

Hillsborough Library’s School Year Teen Volunteer Applications are now available and will be accepted on a rolling basis until the end of April 2020. Volunteer opportunities are for teens entering grades 8-12 in the 2019-2020 school year. Two references are required for all new teen volunteers.

SCLSNJ’s Mary Jacobs Memorial Library branch is accepting applications from students entering grades 7-12 that would like to participate in our summer volunteer program.  Applications are required and will be accepted until all spaces are filled.  Download the 2019 Summer Teen Volunteer Packet or visit the Youth Services Desk. Warren Township Library Teen Volunteer Program
