Somerset County Library System teen volunteer opportunities vary by branch. Please click on the name of the branch for which you are interested in volunteering for applications and reference forms.

We need volunteers to help shelve books, assist with programs, and much more. School year volunteer opportunities are for teens in 7th to 12th grade for the 2017-2018 school year.

The 2017-2018 School Year Teen Volunteer Spring Session runs from Monday, January 29 to Saturday, June 9. Applications can be downloaded here or picked up in person beginning Tuesday, December 5. Applications are due by Friday, January 12. No exceptions.

Applications for our Summer 2018 Teen Volunteer Program will be available on Monday, April 2 and will be due by 5 PM on Monday, April 30.

2017-2018 School Year Volunteer Opportunities
School year volunteer opportunities are for teens entering 7th to 12th grade in the 2017-2018 school year. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. For more information and Hillsborough’s School Year Application click here.

Mary Jacobs Library needs reliable teen volunteers in Grades 7-12 to provide assistance during our programs. Duties include: set-up, hands-on interaction during the program, and clean-up of the room. Teen volunteers must be attentive, enthusiastic and able to assist the library staff as needed. Volunteers must have great social skills and previous experience with children. Community service hours will be awarded for participation.
