What is the Summer Reading Challenge?
Each summer SCLSNJ offers a Summer Reading Challenge that is intended to help prevent summer slide by making reading a habit. Let's create a lifelong love of reading!
How does it work?
June 22 through August 22, readers of all ages are invited to Unearth a Story™ and discover that every person and community has a story waiting to be found and shared.
Every day that you reach your personal reading goals, use Beanstack to record your reading and activities to earn prizes along the way!
Earn 5 points for each day of reading, 1 point for writing 5 book reviews, and 1 point for every other activity.

Activity Badges
Earn badges and points as you complete activities such as visiting branches, attending programs, and more.
Reading Recognition Rewards
As you record your reading and activities, you'll reach the following achievement levels:
Triassic Level (50 points)
Jurassic Level (100 points)
Cretaceous Level (150 points)
At each level, children and adults earn a badge and you can go to any SCLSNJ branch to pick up a prize.
The last day to claim prizes is September 5.
